Local SEO Audit
A structured review of everything that affects how your business appears in local search: your Google Business Profile, your website, your business listings and the competitors you are up against. You get a prioritized list of what to fix and why.
Who this is for
- Businesses that are not sure why competitors appear above them in Google Maps or local results
- Owners who have worked with an SEO provider before and want an independent view
- Businesses planning a new website or a move to a new location
- Anyone who wants a clear plan before committing to ongoing work
What the audit covers
- Google Business Profile completeness, categories and guideline issues
- Local keyword research: the searches your customers actually use
- Website technical health: indexing, crawlability, page speed signals and mobile usability
- On-page relevance of your home, service and location pages
- Business name, address and phone consistency across major directories
- Review profile compared with local competitors
- Competitor analysis for your core services and area
- Structured data and internal linking
What you receive
Findings report
A clear written report in plain English, with evidence for each finding (screenshots, data exports or links), so you can see exactly what was checked.
Prioritized action plan
Every recommendation is ranked by expected impact and effort, so you know what to do first and what can wait.
Walkthrough call
A call to go through the findings, answer questions and agree next steps, whether you implement them yourself, with your developer or with me.
How the audit runs
- Kick-off. We confirm your services, service area and goals, and you share access to Google Business Profile, Google Search Console and Google Analytics if you have them.
- Research and data collection. I crawl your website, review your profile and listings, and analyze the competitors that appear for your main searches.
- Analysis. I identify the issues and opportunities that matter most for your business, not a generic checklist.
- Report and call. You receive the report and action plan, and we review it together.
Frequently asked questions
What access do you need?
Manager access to your Google Business Profile and, if available, read access to Google Search Console and Google Analytics. Everything is granted from your own accounts and can be removed at any time.
Will the audit fix the problems?
The audit identifies and prioritizes the problems. Implementation is separate, so you can choose who does the work. If you would like me to implement the recommendations, I will quote for that once we know what is involved.
Is the audit useful if I have no website yet?
Yes, in a narrower form. Profile, listings and competitor research are still valuable, and the findings can guide how a new website is planned.
